Once again the American Idol Season 8 Top 4 results show was expected with young Alison Iraheta being voted off. It was in many people’s mind that it is most likely going to be a toss between Alison and Kris to be eliminated this week. So for the first time in Idol history, we will have 3 batang (male) contesting for the final 2 spots.

The top 3 is always my favorite week with the home trip for each of the contestants. It truly shows what an amazing platform American Idol is for these aspiring artists.

Anyways the highlight of the evening for me was the return of Daughtry to the Idol stage rendering their upcoming single “No Surprise” which is pretty good. Then there was Paula Abdul who earlier took the stage for the first time in 8 seasons singing her new catchy single “I’m Just Here For The Music”. Other than that, nothing much really stood out for me besides the elimination process of course.

So onwards to the top 3 and quite shockingly this season will be ending in merely 2 more weeks… gosh how time really flies.
