We just returned from doing a little shopping for the weekend at Jusco Cheras Selatan. During our time there today, I paid attention to hustle and bustle surrounding the shopping complex. For the first time I must say I notice a subtle effects of the economy as shoppers can be seen to go for the more economic choices from places to eat to things they buy.

I admit we Malaysians have been spared the full effects and wrath of the world financial crisis but it is starting to slowly creep into our lives from what I witness today. It could very well be Malaysians are now more prudent in their spending which is both good and bad depending on how you view it but no one can deny that this is an obvious human reaction.

It does bring joy when seeing young teenage couples enjoying themselves. I presume no matter how bad the economy is, it does not apply to the dating scene and I couldn’t agree more. Old farts like us can only look and appreciate those heart wrenching times of our past. Angie infact pinched me when I raised this point to her. She says it is typical of guys to be ultra romantic and lovey dovey during the courtship but once the deal is sealed so to speak, we turn into an uncaring companion.

I better end here cause I can feel another pinch coming.  :p
